Crystal Healing.
So...starting massage therapy courses in a few weeks (eek!). Looking at complimentary therapies I might want to incorporate into my practice (Reiki being first and foremost, already found a teacher nearby). Also looking at crystal healing. Very interesting stuff (good! good! gooood! good vibrations! bopbop!).

Some links for my own reference:

I hate drama.
Well, son of a bitch.

Last week, the ever press-hungry WitchSchool sent out yet another press release. It announced that Don Lewis (head of the Correllian Tradition) was the new President of Witch School. I didn't think this internal shift was a newsworthy item and went about my daily blogging duties. But then I found out that this seemingly innocuous personnel change was the result of a much deeper schism within the Correllian Tradition. A tale that involves financial issues, power struggles, looming litigation, and Satanism!

WASHINGTON -- It may be the season for vampires, ghosts and zombies. Just remember, they're not real, warns physicist Costas Efthimiou.

We can't prove it's not real, but it's not, so there! And the world is flat, and telepathy is impossible, as is breaking the sound barrier and walking on the moon.

Bad Press.

Ft Lauderdale Pagan Pride Day
Ft Lauderdale Pagan Pride Day at the UUCFL (Unitarian Unversalist Church of Ft. Lauderdale) is coming! It starts at noon Saturday September 23rd (rain or shine). This is my first Pagan Pride Day but I've been going to weekly classes with other pagans at UUCFL and we have lots of fun. Hope to see you there (I'll be the one with twigs on my head). ;)

Thanks for your time and patience! <3

Sorry for cross-posting.

But as things are I have no more secrets.
I reregistered at WitchSchool.

*Correllian Wicca - The Five Mystic Secrets A ( 4.0 / 4.0 )
*Pagan CyberMinistry A ( 4.0 / 4.0 )
*Pagans and the Law A ( 4.0 / 4.0 )
*The Norse Pantheon A ( 4.0 / 4.0 )
Your Overall GPA is 4

Yeah babee.

I wish they were accredited. And had more classes. And used Spellcheck.

I think mostly I dig the sense of accomplishment. I'm weird about school, getting that A has always been a rush for my geeky little heart.

I'm kind of fascinated with the Correlian Nativist Tradition. Not sure I'd want to join, specifically, but they're interesting folks.

Symbols.com, how cool is that?

This freaked me out. I used to draw this symbol" on my notes all the time (minus the circle). I'd never seen it before and didn't think it meant anything (other than I was bored in class). Ishtar is also Venus, Astarte, and Inanna. I'd recently become fascinated with Inanna, so this is just really cool. And freaky. Weird what lies in the human brain, huh?

Here's another version.

I've also discovered a great blog, Driving Audhumla, with this great entry about Inanna.

The story of Inanna's descent into the underworld has really stuck with me and I feel a call to her.

Hold me closer, Tony Danza.
I've been searching through various sites, looking for pagan charity groups, for community centers, for libraries.

Pagan Educational Network.

The Open Hearth Foundation.

Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary.

I want to start a community center and a library in my area. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm determined.

Event Resources at Pagan Pride.

Charities and NonProfits at the IRS.

Adopt an Elder.

The Pagan Aid Alliance.

But for now, I think I'm going to serve my community by building websites for other charities and volunteer organizations.

The more involved I am with paganism, the more I get into the pagan community, the more I learn, the more I love my faith. The more I find comfort in the heavy winds, the storms, the moon's light. I think that's all anyone can ask for from a belief system; comfort and love.

Will be studying and carving my own set of runes on river stones, followed by a set of ogham fews on oak. I'm also going to reread Ann Moura's 'Green Witchcraft' and perhaps start in on the appropriate chapters in the Grimoire.
